Paul Churchland (innate 1942) is a philosopher working at the University of California, San Diego. He is the married man of philosopher Patricia Churchland and particularly noted for his work inside philosophy of mind and neurophilosophy.
He is particularly associated using the school of thought known as eliminative materialism which argues that folk psychology concepts such as belief and desire have no consistent or even definable brain activity associated with the children; i could so require the babies to exist as replaced by construct that keep around however to exist as articulated. A analogy is to the history of such construct when phlogiston, caloric, and a luminiferous ether.
